Public Records Tracker™ has been developed using Microsoft Dynamics © CRM as a base platform. By developing on a proven platform we focus our efforts on the business requirements, Public Records Tracker™ is geared towards providing a solution that exceeds the requirements as outlined by Department of Justice. Because not all agencies are the same we have several versions of the application that match an agency's need to track FOIA Requests. The two primary versions are Public Records Tracker™ 2011 SL and Public Records Tracker ™ 2011 Federal, a version for State and Local agencies and a Federal version for those agencies that have additional requirements.
Along with the two versions of the base application we have several hosting solutions. Both our application versions work in the Microsoft Dynamics © CRM Online environment and can be quickly deployed. While the Microsoft Dynamics © CRM Online environment affords benefits like monitored uptime and rapid deployment, there are limitations related Public Records Tracker™. Most of these are related to customizations that might be required by a given agency regarding the application; by only having access to the forward facing application we are limited. Some agencies have identified customization that require access to the platform and database servers in which case the Microsoft Dynamics © CRM Online would not be ideal. Eskel Porter Consulting, Inc. hosts a cloud computing environment for those agencies that want the convenience of cloud computing and have the need for customization that might be prevented in the Microsoft Dynamics © CRM Online version. The application also installs in an on-premise environment, meaning that the agency owns all the servers in which both Microsoft Dynamics © CRM and Public Records Tracker™ are installed.
